Other easy and cheaper ways to eliminate halitosis include

Baking Soda

Baking soda or bicarbonate of soda is powerful in reducing bad breath. How does it work? Bicarbonate of soda is an alkali. It thus reduces the acid level in your mouth and makes it more alkaline. This alkaline environment is not conducive for bacteria to inhabit and multiply.

How do you use it? Add a pinch of it to your toothpaste and give your mouth a thorough brush, then rinse. You can also add a teaspoon of baking soda into your water and use it for brushing your teeth.

Cinnamon

As one of home remedies chewing a piece of it leaves your mouth smelling sweet and fresh.

Hydrogen peroxide

It comes in a liquid state. Hydrogen peroxide fights bad breath and is very effective home remedies of halitosis. It kills bacteria by destroying their cell walls through a process called oxidation.

Use a regular concentrated Hydrogen peroxide and Lactobacillus Tablets (get tablets with BLIS M18). Use these steps:

1. Brush and floss your teeth

2. Mix in a glass one teaspoon of Hydrogen peroxide. Add one teaspoon of tap water and mix well.

3. Swish and Gargle the mixture.

4. Use tap water to rinse your mouth.

5. Chew a probiotic tablet. Mix it in your mouth with saliva. Let it spread everywhere in your mouth. It allows good bacteria to inhabit your mouth.

6. Spit it out.

Repeat this after one week. In the meantime, your mouth remains odorless.

One of the most effective home solutions to fight halitosis is the use of black seed essential oil. Black seed has many active compounds, such as dihydro-thymoquinone, carvacrol, monoterpenes thymol, and thymoquinone. Seeds contain antibacterial activities (that kills odor-causing bacteria), anti-tumor, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory.

Anise seeds

Anise seeds are aromatic due to the presence of anethole. It’s no wonder then they are popular in baking. They have antibacterial properties that make them right in the fight against oral malodor or bad breath. You can gnaw on these seeds all-day-long to enjoy fresh breath.
